You couldn't have thought I posted without viewing the generated assembly! That'd be silly.

Please share a generic C method
If I needed "fast" I would use assembler.

I love C and use it extensively, but using C when "fast" is an issue is not reasonable. That will be using "C for the sake of C". I do have some "tricks" to make C "less slow", but none to make it "fast".
