#110729 - depends on power supply
Responding to: ???'s previous message
All the RC problems - used for reset or anything else - stem from one thing - they require precisely controlled behaviour of the power supply. It must not bounce, oscillate, it must have a nice fast powerup and powerdown ramps, it must not misbehave on rapid removal and reapplying of the AC voltage (or any other primary supply) in any sequence and timing.

To create such a power supply is much much more complicated than using the proper reset/supervisor IC.

I don't know exactly what may be the consequences of using the LPC9xx with the reset pin used as input, but - sorry, Philips - it smells of troubles...

A sidenote, do you have active signals from "outer world" on the other ICP pins at powerup/powerdown?
