#110654 - P89LPC932A1 EEPROM corruption |
We are facing corruption of EEPROM data in field in lpc932A1 devices in one of our products. As this happens to corrupt the password for login, the unit has to be reset to factory settings to make it work again. We have never had this problem as long as we were using an external EEPROM on I2C.The errata for powerON lockup of eeprom is taken care of by a dummy write in the software on startup.Any one else faced similar problems with A1? any suggestions?
At times a software timer loading for an initial delay of 2 minutes also takes place wrongly with A1.But this is found to happen in 1 odd device out of 100 and that too only in 1 out of 10/20 powerups.Reset pin is used as input with reset disabled in configuration. At power On RC delays the reset input.Could this be a reason. But we have not seen program flash corruption. Only eeprom gets affected. Finally is A1 a reliable device in field? Thanks for your time santhi |
