1).What is better for my system,TRIAC or IGBT? Triacs are widely used. Reza said:
2).Do i must turning the lamps off on the mains zero crossing? They are turned-off automatically during zero crossings, when using triacs. Reza said:
3).For EMI what i must do? Filtering!! Try to split the 10kW into small portions, each controlled by an own triac/filter combination. By this you can filter better than when using a single 10kW triac modul and a single filter. Don't forget to provide a soft-start and a permanent pre-heating for the lamps! The soft-start must be state-of-the-art: Even short interruptions of mains must always result in a soft-start. Otherwise you will make the mains voltage system totally break down, which can be a disaster with stage or public address applications... Kai |
