#108940 - 24 MHz Fundamental Mode Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Erik and all,
No, it's a fundamental mode 18pF crystal. In fact I have a variety of them from CTS, ECS, Citizen, ICM, etc. Working for the City of Los Angeles is nice, as they will buy whatever you need parts and equipment wise, so I have the ability to sample a wide variety of devices when designing for the LAPD or LAFD. I'm really bummed out about the AT89S8253, as the AT89S8252 was a real solid performer. I think this is a step back for Atmel, and I'm hoping that they change the silicon back to a 30pF oscillator loading and fix the errata problems. This may be just enough of a push to get me to start using Dallas or Philips again. I did a lot of automation related stuff in the past with the DS80C320, and it was a solid performer. BTW I was at the Pacific Design & Manufacturing trade show today. Mouser Electronics had a booth, and Sue is going to get me some answers (at least try to) from Atmel. I've been a bit lax in tracking down the local FAE, so need to pursue that as well. Phil - Do you have that number for me? Thanks Trev - K6ESE - Any other HAMs on the list? |
