Dear Arif,
check your LCDs datasheet and see if inputs and outputs are TTL compaitible. in this case VIL max = 0.8 and VIH MIN = 2.0V in this case you can drive the LCD inputs safely from a 3V logic. problem is in the opposite direction. If your PIC has 5V tolerant pins there is no problem as well. otherwise you have to use logic level translators. edit: above is valid if you have an additional 5V supply for LCD. Abhishek |
