by the way I have no experience with alpha-numeric LCD. my current buysiness is nothing but displays, but no "alpha-numeric LCD".
So, whatever I can help with will be general. one thing I do realize from your schematic is that you are multiplexing. That just makes everything 47 times more difficult. Multiplexing static displays is a breeze, with scrolling displays, you get in synchronization issues. BTW: if your "character generator" is not superfast, store segment values, not caharcters. Again I have no idea what using "alpha-numeric LCD" will affect as compared to "dot matrix", maybe you can get by with all I recommend against, who knows. Erik |
