"Hardware debugger" could mean a tool for debugging hardware - such as a scope, logic analyser, etc. In this case, a "software debugger" would be a tool for debugging software.
Note that an ICE could class as both a "Hardware debugger" and a "software debugger" under this interpretation! "Hardware debugger" could also mean "a piece of hardware to use for debugging purposes" So, please try to explain more clearly. Perhaps if you explained what you're actually trying to do, that might help clarify things? |
