I was hoping to use a somewhat intelligent chip that uses multiplexing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Allegro has something like that.
you DO use a '51 I hope (if not you are in the wrong forum) so why do you need more "intelligence. I would have to add a new driver chip per display using any of their offerings. depends on what you mean by "display". You will not get by very bright if you multiplex more than 8 digits and most Allegro high side driver chips are 8 wide. Erik |
