#106874 - Motor Specs
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Santo
You need to know your motor specs before you decide on driver chip. Did you know that a DC Motor requires 5 times the amount of rated current at startup?
Current consumption also increases with load.
Consider making soft start of the motor.
A good driver chip is the L298 which has a dual H-bridge for driving DC or stepper motors but maximum current rating is 2A per H-bridge which of course you can parallel to get maximum of 4A.
