Low power chips

The most interesting and happy news (atleast for me) is, it is available in 20 PDIP, and the include files for Keil are instantly available!

do u know a good low dropout and low power 5V regulator which is easily available?

7805 does me a fine job for my projects, so I am impractical with other LDOs. But do you use the 100mA version of 7805(in metal can package)? There is another version in TO-220 package, which will withstand 1.5A.

Cheers,
Vignesh
