How current loop will support 256 node addressing?
Or how to implement RS485 to 4 to 20mA / (0 to 20)mA for multinode systems? Well, I think the easiest solution is to have the current running for a 1 (default) and break it to create a 0. Then each node can listen and transmit on the same line. There is no need for DriverEnable or ReceiverEnable as in RS485. Just a couple of opto-couplers on RX and TX will do. The downside is that it will always consume power. |
