You can increase the number of nodes to 256 by using receivers (or transceivers) that present one eighth of a standard load (e.g. LTC285X, MAX 307X, MAX3362, MAX3471, SN65HVD308X). A repeater can sometimes be used provided it knows which port is in and which is out. At only 9600 bps you shouldn't nead a repeater to extend cable length. |
