Hi Jim, Just found out my programmer (XELTEK 501S) pc driver software is 3 years out of date, next came the realisation that it doesnt support the ATF1502, but it does support the ATF750 and Xilinx 9536 and 9572. I just want to point out, the ATF750 is very expensive although less so at Mouser. So I've put an order into Mouser just now and since I always deal with digikey(usally), I've found Mouser to be cheaper, so there you go, I will be visiting Mouser more often in the future. I've got the Xilinx cpld's instock but I'm just getting to grips with Atmels winCUPL and having some success with it. I don't fancy learning Xilinx's programming language aswell as cupl just yet.
