| The parallel port capture device that I have built is working well. In the picture below you can see it attached to the LPT1: port of the SBC (single board computer) in an embedded system. 
   (Open picture in new window or tab to see full size) I copied a 1.2MByte text file to LPT1: under DOS on the embedded system using a looping batch file. My device captured all the data to a USB cable and sent it to my host PC where it was captured from the FTDI driver in virtual serial port mode using a freeware program called PuTTY. I spot checked some of the blocks within the total of over 0.5 GBytes sent and saw no errors. Michael Karas |
