The LCD on the 8052 SBC isn't compatible with a straight ribbon cable. Pin one is V+ and pin 2 Vss. Yes: fine on Craig's schematic! Good to have known this, as every LCD pinout from eternity has polarity opposite. Thus a ribbon cable cannot go straight from SBC to LCD, without alteration. Baptism by fire for the new 2x16 LCD I had had to intercept the SBC data. best wishes, Mike G. |
