#180096 - Try to add storage caps... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
...to the 24V supply. But remember: Delivering 10A for a period of 100msec with a voltage dip of only 1V needs a capacitance of about
C = Q / U = I x t / U = (10 x 0.1 / 1) F = 1F = 1000 mF = 1,000,0000 µF !! May be it's better to migrate to a faster 24V supply? Anyway, you need to measure somehow, whether there's a relevant dip of supply voltage at all. So, it's scoping time! Check also, whether the free wheeling diodes are still conducting, when the valves are periodically turned-on again. This can also cause huge voltage dips!! More, the testing setup seems to use too long cables. This adds not only inductance but also lots of ohmic resistance! Kai Klaas |
