... it is an excellent instrument, but has its limitations, too.
Not really suitable to debug longer communication events. I debugged some I2C with it (figthing with a undocumented hardware bug in the I2C unit of the mcu which is not polite to mention on this forum ;-) ) but its strengths lie completely elsewhere. IIRC it's not possible to trade bus width for capture length, but it's quite a couple of months when I used it last time (and I might have missed some of the features). At the end of the day, I am happy I am not forced to use some of these "soundcard-like" USB gadgets and can use the real stuff. JW |
