... wouldn't it be simpler to use the presence of supply on both connectors for the detection?
 Also, I learned (from a younger colleague - I try to listen to those younger than me, too, they have fresh view on the things and they are not necessarily wrong) that a relay is an electronic part, and it is not wise to frown upon it just because it is not solid state... But, if you want desperately a bombenfest analog switch, make your own from two power MOSFETs and an invertor... :-) JW  |
