Jan, your reason for my error is not entirely correct - I just made a hasty reply and didn't bother to check. Brain fade at the end of the day!!!

I do, however, use a multitude of cpus and my current products have 8051's in them.

I am aware of the thumb instructions - in fact I made reference to it in an earlier response.

So we're back to the original question.
