#114274 - Why Triacs dont contain two real SCR. |
Dear Forum Members,
I have faced lots of problems with use of triacs. Problems such as high holding and latching current, Commutation problems, Higher leakage currents etc. When two back to back thyristors [ SCR ] are used all above problems are cured. Why dont these semiconductor companies fabricate two real SCR on the chip? I am sure size isnt the issue! Is it just to continue a inferior product line called triacs?
