One has to use timer2 in such applications. The sequence of operation. MOV T2CON,#0; Auto reload mode SETB RCLK; SETB TCLK; ; to be set to use timer 2 to be the baud rate enerator. MOV RCAP2H,#(number) ; depends on baud rate MOV RCAP2L,#(number) ; SETB TR2; start the timer Now the serial port is configured for use timer2 for baudrate. Now T1 & T2 are free for you use in counter mode. krishnaiah |
