#98060 - non-crazy-a little more sure Responding to: ???'s previous message |
(sorry, first part of this thread was a response to eriks question, missed the placement)
It does state in the CIP-51 Micro section that it is fully compatible with MCS-51 instruction set. It also handles the standard peripherals the same. The CAN portion though is definitley not standard and SILABS follows BOSCH_CAN implimentation using 32 message objects in CAN memory. I haven't shopped around recectly for CAN equiped controllers, but I remember looking (beriefly) at a phillips one. They had a 1k (bit or byte, can't remember) buffer for holding messages, which sounds like a nice feature. I do find the 32 message objects on the SILABS enough for my needs. Andy |
