As someone has suggested the 8051 has an onboard UART, this I know. I am a student and the project I have been asigned is an RS 232 monitor where the 8051 controls as to where data is coming from, to where it is going and also monitors the data coming into it from 4 dumb terminals and id a specific piece of data is seen the 8051 tells the users pc which is what is hooked up to the 8051s Uart. I am therefore using two external uarts which I need to know how I can connect or map these to the 8051.Please help.
