Hi Abhishek,
I am impressed that you owned your position and I salute you for doing so. The truth is that I wouldn't normally have given a positive rating for this post, even though I do appreciate it greatly, but because it doesn't pertain to 8051s. Frankly, if whoever gave it the first negative point had used the "Off-Topic" choice I'm not sure I would have given it a positive even then. However, anytime people from diverse places around the world can be nice to each other, I do not believe that can be "Overrated." So if my friend in India wishes Americans a happy 4th, or if Steve in England wishes Craig in Mexico a happy Cinqo de Mayo, or if George in Greece wishes Mehdi in Iran a Happy Eid (please, Mehdi, tell me that I spelled that at least close enough to right that Muslims know what I mean), or if we're wishing the people in Ireland a happy St. Pat's or the people in Viet Nam a happy Tet, or whoever whereever whatever, it's a nice thing to do (Just remember not to wish Jews a Happy Yom Kippor). It's called being friendly. Frankly, we'd all do well to work a bit harder at doing just that, even if it is off-topic. |
