I think most likely I'll try that Profilic cable - I have one I don't really need. I found the datasheet today (argh, Profilic webpage is horrible!) and it has "RS232 Vcc" input, so even no level converters should be necessary - whatever voltage you attach to this input, that's what the chip uses as "high" level on its RS232 port - very neat. The only problem is Linux kernel driver - last time I checked it was crashing the whole system. |
