#95235 - Multiple 8051s communication Responding to: ???'s previous message |

My question is when Master is communicating with PC how is communication with slaves.Because 89c51 have only one URAT.
I have to use 89c51 not other So you know the problem and the limitation of having just one UART. 1) Use a derivative with dual UART. 2) Implement a soft (virtual) UART. 3) Configure all 8 micros as salve and let PC serve as master. 4) Multiplex the UART of master micro with slaves and PC using some buffers. I am just wondering what type of I/O expansion it is which requires other 8051s instead of standard I/O expanders. You said your slaves control relays. As such relays can be controller by expanding the I/O of just one micro. Note: Avoid 89C51 if it is AT89C51 from ATMEL. This is a discontinued part. Use 'S' series instead like AT89S52 etc. |
