Unfortunately, the real world is all too often stuck with the curse of the "Legacy" - before there was a standard, each manufacturer did its own thing. Now there is a standard, but also a huge installed base of non-compatible, proprietary stuff. :-( All good business for purveyors of protocol converters, though...! :-) |
