Guys thank you all. All these posts have been great and informative as well. I have placed a separate power supply (2 AA) for the micro and (4 AA) for the solenoid. It works fine as for now. This changes a litle bit my design because of the two extra batteries. I will try the Flywheel circuit later on. I may have to comeback to the this threat again. I found me a very nice article on solenoids and flywheel diode circuits. I will ready and get the most out of it.
