#90138 - Thats it Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have 4 AA batteries. Two of them (3.3 or so) will be to power the micro and all four (6.6) to power the solenoid.
Just for illustration visualize every battery with a 10 ohm resistor in series. What happen to your uC supply when the solenoid kicks in. Do remember that a solenoid has a very large "inrush current". You will need to either use separate batteries for the uC or derive a stabilized 3.3 (e.g. LM2937) for the uC. Then make sure that no return current for the solenoid driver affect the uC (-batt directly to - solenoid driver) I guess I should retract what I said about "not noise" if you supply the uC with the batteries or another separate supply when you operate "net powered without problems".
