Dear Raghunathan, in cases where I have to store data on CD-ROM or similar, I do always store several identical copies on it. Sometimes even sharing on several CD-ROMs. A while ago I built a bit error counter for CD-player containing TDA5708 photodiode signalprocessor. I was shocked to see how many bit errors are present on a standard CD, and how much the number of bit errors increase when using this CD... Kai |
