#68 - 8051 C-compilers
Does anybody have any experience using any of the commerical C-Compilers/Debuggers (PC platform) available out there? e.g. Keil, Tasking, etc...

I'm trying to find a C-Compiler for the 8052 which will efficiently handle the limited stack space on this microprocessor. My software may need to go into 12-15 levels of procedures. The C-compiler must be able to handle this as well as any assembler would. The package must also have a target resident monitor. I also need code (path) coverage testing. Money is of no concern.

The Tasking software has code coverage, but I couldn't find much about Keil's debugging abilities.

If anybody has a lot of experience using Tasking's software, I'd like to hear from you, especially if you have experience using their CrossView Pro Debugger.

If you have any suggestions, please respond. Thank you for your help.
