Hello !

Unfortunately I connected the GROUND-Pin
of a new LCD-module to the SUPPLY VOLTAGE and the VDD-Pin of the module to GROUND. The 80C31 Controller-Ports work still fine but the LCD-module seems to be damaged. I have tried the program in the TUTORIAL but without any success - there's no cursor and no character. Is the HD44780 unprotected ? Do I have to use a driver between the ports and the LCD-module or is it possible to connect the module directly to the ports of the 80C31 ? Please help me !
