Philips Semiconductor has an application note (AN423) which describes how to programm "Software driven serial communication routines" without having an UART. You can use this routines if the crystalspeed does not confirm to the baudrate (e.g. 33Mhz). Or - use a 33,177,600 Mhz crystal... Formula to calculate the crystal for given TH1 values: (256 -TH1) x 384 x baudrate f (crystal) = -------------------------------- 2xSMOD Bye, Dieter. |
