#139773 - Keil - maybe not
Responding to: ???'s previous message

I believe it is best for me to choose "real" stuff like keil eval version compiler or sdcc on my linux laptop.

Keil doesn't run on Linux - so you'd need a windows simulator for it...

Where do I start if for instance I want my 8052 to send "Hello World" via the serial?

For Keil, see http://www.keil.com/support/m..._hello.htm

Keil ships with a whole bunch of example projects in - surprise! - the Examples folder!
