Thanks for clarification everyone, I guess this development environment somewhat misleading on what is really necessary to make stuff work, therefore I believe it is best for me to choose "real" stuff like keil eval version compiler or sdcc on my linux laptop. Where do I start if for instance I want my 8052 to send "Hello World" via the serial? (I have already a way of transferring the hex file so that is not an issue)
