The "classical" '51 answer is Wagner Lipnharski's code at http://www.ustr.net/infrared/index.shtml . Read it carefully, the timing is done so that it requires a specific crystal!!! But of course you are free just to get inspired and rewrite it for a different crystal value.
However, entering a few proper keywords into your favorite web search machine, or maybe even better, here into the search box on this page, will give you tons of references.
