#129631 - re: details... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi, sorry for not putting as much info as possible :(
Q:What speed? A:9600 Q:All 3 simultaneously? A:No FIFO Q:Is this an adequate chip to process all the data? A:NO Q:Is this a new design? A:Not sure I had no luck finding it Q:Do you have to stick to AT89C52? A:NO, it's just that I have rigel's R31JP for my testing. Let me explain what I'm trying to achieve here... I want to build rs232 buffer that would give additional interface to ASCOM paging system. At the moment there's only one serial line in paging system to send TAP(Telocator Alphanumeric Protocol) messages. My plan is to have direct link from AT89C52 based board (serial1) to paging service and connect 2 more devices (serial2,3) via serial to it, then write a code which would be looking for some activity on these 2 devices (serial 2,3) and once that happens download TAP message and save it in the buffer then transmit message on (seral1) and clear the buffer then start again doest that make sense to anyone? |
