The PC increments sequentially, unless there is a jump/ call. So the address bus should go from 0 to 1, 2....
Does the 2816 contains some program? If you fill it with NOPs(00h), then the bus will increment sequentially as described above. It has nothing to do with the current problem, but you need not ground unused pins directly. Better to use pullup or pull down resistors so that you reuse them in case of a design change. |
