#113348 - letters and sounds
Responding to: ???'s previous message
hi,

Neil Kurzman said:
Each letter generates sounds, They are modified by the rules on the languge.

Just for interest:
Russian language contains two letters which have no sound at all. Even in alphabet they have no sound and are called by special names: soft- and hard- sign.
Be used in a word they modify sounds of forward letters.

Oleg
