International calls are getting worse and worse, with "digitalisation", I believe they throw in lossy compressin these times. I believe this might happen with the local lines too, trying to sqeeze them with internet data. We use modem connection heavily, I'd tell you it's sometimes a pain to get even a v.22 connection from here to certain countries. It will have its implications on the speech recognizability I'd guess. Oh yes, in the States, that's an another issue... JW |
