thank you very much Mr. Russell. i made the changes as sugested by you. it is working fine.
Is it now clear to you what simplification does?. Now you can gradually start building your code back to what you need.

You know better than me what is best, but I would first include UART1 and get the SILabs "inventions" re this UART worked out. I have no Idea why Cygnal decided that it had to be different from UART0, but I suggest as next step you get the UART1 working on the smae principles as I suggested for UART0
