#111443 - Here we specify to our contract manufact Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I do have a follow up question since you mentioned programming 1000's of units. I do plan to send some gerbers to a manufacturer to build several thousands, and I would HATE to have to manually program these chips. Is there any way I can send the binary to a manufacturer to put on during the process, or am I pretty much stuck doing manual programming of each device?
Here we specify to our contract manufacturer which software they are to program into the chips on their programmer from our .hex file. Then when and if the defecation hit the rotary oscillator, and we have a stack of boards already programmed and a newer software we reprogram them. Production units are programmed by the contract manufacturer on their programmer. Now, what if you have a change? with RS232 ISP you can send the customer a disk (I do) so, if you use a derivative with RS232ISP (NO guarantee across the board, but for Philips ...Rx2 with my NoTouch it works), send the customer a few files and a 5 line instruction sheet and (s)he updates him/herself. erik |
