people tend to learn one processor and stick with that, they then try to make it do everything.what i plan to do is produce an fpga version of the 8052 which has 16 bit extensions so with some slight wiggling of the instruction set you can do 16 bit operations and not have to worry about learning a new processor.If anyone fancies giving a helping hand ive got most of the code written it just neds finishing off. |
