#110789 - Port3 Behavior |
Hi All,
This might seem to be a simple question, but its really perplexing me. I'm currently using a DS89C450 for a project I'm building and during the execution of the software and other bits of the project, I notice one of the pins I'm using on Port3 as standard I/O never goes high again even if I specifically tell it. Here's the sequence of events: The firmware sets P3.5 to 0 Some other external circuitry will also pull P3.5 low The firmware sets P3.5 to 1 The external circuitry releases P3.5 Will the command to tell P3.5 to reset as input be actually executed? During my debugging of the circuit and firmware, this is the only thing I notice that is causing problems with my project, as it seems P3.5 always remains low after that sequence. Thanks, J Silverman |
