#108744 - more precisely Responding to: ???'s previous message |
C_START is a symbol, not a file. It is a symbol in the startup.a51 file. uVision2 upon creation of a project does not ask whether it is a C or asm project, but it asks if it should copy startup.a51 into the new project folder and if it should be added to the files of the project. You can answer No but, frankly, as a newbie (and having no clue nor an online help) I would accept the default answer which is Yes.
The whole concept is maybe good for big projects but very confusing for the newbie. That's why I don't like Keil nor other similar IDEs which "know better what do you want to do" and make up things for you. I rather live with commandline tools and selfmade bat files, but I know exactly what I am doing. Bah, now I will be run down by the Kieil-fans and maybe also people from Keil who are here...
