#108363 - Triac current and voltage
Responding to: ???'s previous message
With a resistive load current is phase with voltage

With an inductive load (like a motor) current is out of phase with voltage.

So for a resistive load you can sense the voltage=0 = current and the triac turns off.

For an inductive load you have to build a circuit to sense current =0 becuase voltage will not be 0.
