#108302 - do not read '51 C books before you know Responding to: ???'s previous message |
no real knowledge of C.
do not read '51 C books before you know C. Start with PC C and a book like Kochan: "programming in ANSI C". The books about '51 C all require full knowledge of C. what benifits C has over Basic to program in C is faster, more compact, more flexible. what FREE editing/debuging system, complier etc to look at. I do not know this for a fact, but some posts have indicated that SDCC is not the best documented dev tools there is, they are, however free. It would be indecent to start with the Keil well documented free eval (2k code limit) to learn the ropes and then after enjoying Keils largesse using a competing compiler. Erik |
