Sorry, it is the reading of the FE flag which can be disabled, not the framing error detection itself. More precisely, unless some of the 9-data-bit modes is selected, if the stopbit is 0, RI is not set.
Btw. a "nice" typo in the P89C51Rx2 datasheet, they used R1 instead of RI on 2 places... Jan Waclawek |
