Steve, please read the many postings about crazy working until the EA was put on potential.
All data sheets says, that there is no internal pullup or pulldown on the EA pin and it must be connected external with VCC (internal ROM) or GND (external ROM). There is only a little difference, if the lock bits are set. In this case the EA pin can be released after reset, because its state was latched. Peter |
